Continental Resources is passionate about investing in the education of our future leaders. We are proud to pave the way for future generations with the new Continental Cares:  Funding the Future Grant. If you are a K-12 teacher in a school in the CLR operating area, you can apply for a grant up to $5,000. This program is designed to help enhance the school’s reading, science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) programs or plant the seed for a new program to start. Applications for the 2015-2016 school year will open in May 2015.

Continental donates heavily to research and education. From creating a petroleum engineering chair at Oklahoma State University to substantial donations to the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, the State Historical Society of North Dakota for the North Dakota Heritage Center’s Inspiration Gallery, and the University of North Dakota Harold Hamm School of Geology and Geologic Engineering and the Continental Resources High-Resolution Virtual Core Library, the company focuses its major gifts in areas that create lifelong opportunities for learning.

Continental’s support for the United Way goes beyond the normal capital campaign. Through events like Mexican Fiesta, Chili Cook-Off, and special donate-to-participate days, our employees give generously throughout the year.

Continental underwrites professional theatrical and musical performances, putting the arts within reach. Our employees serve on the boards of fine arts organizations, raising awareness and funding to improve access to art in schools.
