Major Gifts

Continental donates heavily to research and education. From creating a petroleum engineering chair at Oklahoma State University to substantial donations to the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, the State Historical Society of North Dakota for the North Dakota Heritage Center’s Inspiration Gallery, and the University of North Dakota Harold Hamm School of Geology and Geologic Engineering and the Continental Resources High-Resolution Virtual Core Library, the company focuses its major gifts in areas that create lifelong opportunities for learning. 

The Arts

Continental underwrites professional theatrical and musical performances, putting the arts within reach. Our employees serve on the boards of fine arts organizations, raising awareness and funding to improve access to art in schools.

United Way

Continental’s support for the United Way goes beyond the normal capital campaign. Through events like Mexican Fiesta, Chili Cook-Off, and special donate-to-participate days, our employees give generously throughout the year.
